Vertical Pumps
Vertical pumps are centrifugal pumps specially designed to move liquids smoothly through a system. Ideal for sump/process drainage applications including applications with difficult to handle liquids consisting of large/abrasive solids, high temp and higher viscosities.
This type of pump is used when there is limited surface area to work with. Vertical pumps require a smaller footprint than a horizontal pump.
One of the leading manufacturers of vertical pumps is Vertiflo. Vertiflo, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, was established in 1979 to design, sell and build packaged lift stations.
Since 1981, Vertiflo has concentrated on manufacturing vertical process pumps, sump pumps, end suction pumps and self-priming pumps in cast iron, stainless steel and special alloys. Their pumps are proudly made in the USA.
Vertiflo Pump Company’s vertical, horizontal and self-priming pumps are delivered fast, usually in half the typical lead time of their competitors.
The vertical sump pump line offers up to 3000 GPM, 250′ Heads and 26′ depth. The 600 series are capable of handling temperatures up to 180° F and column extensions of 12”, 15” and 21”. Series 800 and 900 can handle temperatures to 350° F. The 1500 series offers an external impeller adjustment, back pull-out construction as well as temperature conditions up to 250° F.
Vertiflo pumps are designed for industrial (non-residential) applications. Currently, over 20,000 pumps are operating successfully worldwide. Vertiflo is recognized as a quality manufacturer of dependable pumps; and continues to grow and encompass new applications in the pump industry.
